ABOUT PAUL WILLIAMS
Paul Williams has been a photographer for over 30 years. Paul's first published photos were at the tender age if 15 when he took photos for the local newspaper in his home town, Buckingham.
By the age of 18 Paul was a contributing photographer to Motoring News and The Yorkshire Post as well as taking hs school sports teams photos.
Paul spent 3 years at the London College Of Printing studying photography. After this he assisted food photographer Tony Putnam in his new studio in Barcelona for a year.
At the age of 23 he opened his first studio in Troy Court, Kensington, London. It was the begining of the food photography boom with new food partworks selling well and food book publishing booming. This was a fantastic way for a young photographer to gain experience. Creativity and ideas were the order of the day and food photography stsrted to gain respect as a genre.
In the mid 1980's Paul Williams moved his studio to its present address in Camden. Now working regularily for high profile brands and winning photography awards Paul was asked to join the Moving Picture Co to direct TV commercials. This led to him directing over 120 TV commercials throughout Europe,
In 2000 Paul Williams made his first TV documentary "Living On The Edge - Death Valley". This led to work for the BBC directing documentary projects on Turkey. Paul Williams first concert direction was "The Zombies Live At Bloomsbury" in 2001. In 2008 he directed a further concert for the Zombies "Odyssey and Oracle Revisited, Live At The Shepherds Bush Empire", bothe DVD's are available at Amazon etc.
Since 2009 Paul Williams opened an additional phtography project studio in Budapest. This handles Paul's stock photography and art photography projects. Paul has been photographing Europe for the last 2 years and now has a growing collection of travel photos, landscape photos and food photos available to buy on line through Alamy, Photographers Direct, Stockfood, Getty and his own library FunkyStock.eu. Paul will be adding film clips to these projects and is working on new photography and TV projects.
